If you are struggling to find suitable services you could try Darlington Station (DAR)www.northernrailway.co.uk/stations/DAR, this is further away but located on the East Coast Mainline which has more services.
This station is a 30-minute taxi ride away, Darlington Station Taxis are often available at the station or can be called (01325 468 888), or there is the Arriva Durham County - X66 – Darlington – Middlesbrough, this stops at Darlington Tubwell Row (L) and Stockton high Street (O,D,F)
